I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
It’s good to be a kid in Kentucky. Not only is the Bluegrass an epic nature lover’s playground, but it’s also a literal playground, full of the most amazing attractions and sites sure to instill a love of the great outdoors in even the youngest Kentuckians. This is most certainly the case with Legacy Grove Park, the newest park in Kentucky. This 30-acre public park has a two-acre adventure play area, nature trails, walking paths, dog parks, and open lawns, and the best part is that it’s incredibly inclusive, with an ADA-accessible paved walking path and a special play area designed for children of all abilities.
Kentucky kids have it made. Our state is home to some of the most epic playgrounds around, including the brand-new Legacy Grove Park.
This 30-acre public park has a two-acre adventure play area, kid-friendly nature trails and walking paths, dog parks, and lots of open space for free play and outdoor recreation of all kinds.
This is the kind of space that's irresistible for kids, with pretty much everything in the park offering something special. Turf-covered hills invite kids to run, tumble, and slide...
In addition to boasting next-level playground equipment and attractions, the park design is incredibly inclusive, with an ADA-accessible paved walking path throughout and a play area with sensory-friendly and handicap-accessible options.
Newer parks often lack shade, as their trees are generally young and not as full as their older brethren. Happily, Legacy Grove has plenty of shady spots for parents to sit and keep an eye on their kids!
Legacy Grove Park is a delightful new addition to the Kentucky park scene, offering a traditional playground, nature playscape, trails, and all-abilities amenities. It's pretty much everything you could possibly want in a family-friendly park -- and more!
Legacy Grove Park is located at 1107 West Lexington Avenue,
Winchester, KY, 40391. The park is open daily from dawn until dusk, and both entry and parking are free.
Have you visited Legacy Grove Park in Kentucky yet? What a cool place to explore — any time of the year!
