There is so much to do in Kentucky and we are home to some pretty unique attractions. Perhaps one of the things you’ve tried in Kentucky is an escape room; but did you know that Lexington is home to the world’s largest and best collection of these exciting games? Countdown Games is a massive Kentucky destination that offers several one-of-a-kind escape rooms, including a three-story castle. You haven’t experienced anything like this before, and you can get your adrenaline going alongside your friends at this fun-filled attraction in the Bluegrass.
Located in Lexington, Countdown Games is a massive escape room destination that was started by a group of brothers and friends. They set out to create a place that was unlike any of the other escape rooms in the area, and they ended up with what is arguably now the best in the world.
Countdown Games started two years ago with two games and has since grown to what will include 8 escape room options in about a month. Each of these games has an exciting and unique theme, and most are two levels and much larger than your average escape room experience.
The themes of the rooms are all so fun, you'll want to try every single one. The Bank Heist, with a sneak, peek shot below, begins in a toy shop, where you begin to look for clues. If you've never done an escape room before, basically you are placed in a situation and story where you must solve a puzzle or mystery to make your way out. These games get your adrenaline going, but some would appreciate that you are never completely locked into the space (there are ways to get out).
Countdown Games takes these experiences to the next level with details that really make you feel like you're in a real situation. In the game Time Bomb, groups must actually cut a wire to diffuse a "bomb." The game Shock & Awe begins in the dark, and the lights slowly come on as you solve puzzles. You can read more about all of the games offered here.
The crowning jewel of Countdown Games (pun intended) is The Castle. This 3-story space includes a working drawbridge, dungeon, five turrets, magic mirrors, and many more details. Each game comes with its own collection of surprises, and with hundreds of 5-star reviews, you can bet on a fun-filled time when trying to solve any of these mysteries.
Countdown Games is perfect for groups of up to 10 people, celebrating birthdays, a date night, a family adventure, or anyone who wants to try something new and exciting. Since many people often have questions about how escape rooms work, you can find out many of these answers on Countdown Game's website here.
When the Kentucky weather is cold, rainy, snowy, hot, or even if it's a perfectly lovely day, a visit to Countdown Games is still a wonderful way to spend time with friends. If you're up for a challenge that comes with plenty of unique fun, Countdown Games is the ideal destination, and keep an eye out for their newest game, Time Machine, which opens soon.
