As major events around the state are cancelled or postponed, many of us are disappointed to miss out on things we’ve been looking forward to for months. One of the most highly anticipated events in Kentucky this year was Wild Lights: Asian Lantern Festival, held at the Louisville Zoo. While the reopening of this event is up in the air, you can still see this stunning lantern festival with a behind the scenes virtual tour in Kentucky, as well as a few photos taken earlier this season.
Take a look as the Louisville Zoo shows a portion of this beautiful event. If you can’t view it here, be sure to check for the video on the zoo’s Facebook page.
We can hang on to hope that Wild Lights will be extended past its original April 25th end date, but of course we just don’t know at this point. In the meantime, watch this behind the scenes virtual tour in Kentucky, check out the photos, and look forward to visiting the zoo again soon. Were you planning on attending this event? Did you make it there before it had to close? Let us know in the comments!
