I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
The hiking Kentucky in Kentucky is unrivaled. Whether you’re looking for a quick hike or epic expedition, a waterfall trail or below-ground excursion, you’ll find it all in the Bluegrass State. If you’re in a Goldilocks kind of mood, though, and looking for a hike that’s not too big and not too small, you’ll find Kentucky’s knobs to be just right. Kentucky is known for its knobs, and there are several easy-to-navigate hikes in the eponymous Knobs State Forest.
If you look out the window whilst cruising through the Bluegrass, you've probably noticed these lush little hills. Or perhaps, you mistook them for mountains.
But just because these trails are moderate, doesn't mean they lacking the picturesque "pow" of a waterfall hike or mountain trek. The knobs trails here are geographically varied and teeming with wildlife and scenic beauty.
The Knobs Forest Yellow and Orange Loop is a perennial favorite within Knobs State Forest. This 3.3-mile loop trail winds through the beautiful Kentucky backwoods, through lush forests and winsome wildflower fields.
If you're looking for a just right hike in Kentucky that's teeming with untold wonder and beauty, look no further. You're sure to fall in love with Kentucky's iconic knobs!
