There’s so much to love about the beautiful state of Kentucky, from its friendly locals to its charming small towns and of course its gently rolling hills of horse farms. The Bluegrass State is known for its horses and also its bourbon, fried chicken, and at times even some less endearing things. But thanks to a study commissioned by Verizon to promote everyday kindness, Kentucky has now officially been named the kindest state in the U.S. We already knew Kentuckians were special and now we know they will go above and beyond to show kindness to family, friends, and even strangers.

The Bluegrass State is known for many things and now we can also claim the title as the kindest state in the U.S. Verizon wanted to answer the question, "How kind is America?" so they set out to find out.

After surveying thousands of people from all 50 states, Kentucky topped the list as the kindest. Actually, the results showed that our country is generally more kind than you may have thought.
