There's beautiful scenery everywhere you turn and plenty of ways to get out on the water. You can bring your own boat and launch it here, or rent from Kenlake Marina for a day of sun and water.

In the cooler months, be on the look out for the boat tours around the lake where you'll try and spot the bald eagles that nest in the area.
The .7-mile-long Cherokee Trail is lovely and it can be combined with the one-mile-long Chickasaw Trail. Both take you into the woods and along shaded, relaxing paths.
The campground at Kenlake State Resort Park is a great overnight option with a tent or RV, or you can choose to book a room at the lodge or your own cabin.
