I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
There’s little that’s more pleasurable than a meal at a cozy little diner. These old-fashioned places just exude charm, and boast menus full of the comfort classics we all know and love! In Bardstown, Kentucky, Pat’s Place is a delightful diner that’s known for its amazing menu, stellar service, and small-town vibes.
We aren't shy about our love for Bardstown, but this Kentucky town really does have it all. In addition to being immensely scenic and historically significant, Bardstown is an impossibly charming place with one of the best and most walkable downtowns in Kentucky.
Step inside the doors and you'll instantly feel like one of the family. Little decor details like a real, working fireplace, book-filled shelves, and rustic furniture make Pat's truly someplace special.
Pat's is a breakfast and lunch spot, and it's open daily during the morning and early afternoon hours for dine-in and carryout. The breakfast plates are a fan favorite, with hearty portions and down-home classics sure to satisfy any appetite!
For us, one of the marks of a great restaurant is its burger. You can get a good burger and fries pretty much anywhere, but a great burger and fries? That's a different story. We're happy to report, however, that the burgers from Pat's are truly exceptional!
In addition to an epic breakfast and lunch menu, you'll find a rotating selection of Southern-inspired specials at Pat's Place, like barbecue sandwiches and homemade meatloaf.
Of course, we're definitely partial to banana cream pie. Topped with crumbled Nilla Wafers, it doesn't get any more "classic Kentucky" dessert than this!
Have you dined at Pat’s Place before? This small-town diner in Bardstown, Kentucky, is definitely worth seeking out!
Looking for more comforting places to grab a bite in the Bluegrass State? How about a meal at K’s Cafe, a Kentucky favorite that’s known for amazing all-you-can-eat fried catfish!
