The small town of Ravenna is located southeast of Lexington, on the border of Daniel Boone National Forest.
It's a bit like stepping back in time when you drive through "downtown," and you can't help but notice the old buildings and charm that the little city has managed to maintain. In addition to this small town appeal, Ravenna has a few delicious options if you happen to be looking for a home-cooked meal.
Wigwam Drive-In, located on 3rd Street, is probably the most recognizable restaurant in the town.
Open since 1957, Wigwam is a local favorite and also a popular spot for those passing through town. The nostalgia is reason enough to visit, but the food is also amazing. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all great here and the comfort food classics will surely fill you up.

Michael's, also located on 3rd Street, is the place to go if you are really, really hungry.
Many believe that Michael's has the best buffet in the state. It's filled with classics like fried chicken and meatloaf, and they also serve great burgers. Save room for dessert - it's delicious!
They do a classic breakfast better than anyone, and their biscuits and gravy are a standout on the menu. It's a friendly spot with plenty of small-town charm.
Now, this next eatery may not be quite within Ravenna city limits, but it's just a town over and is the best option for barbecue and steak in the area.
