I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
This fall, ditch the haunted houses and scary festivals in favor of saying “boo” with the coolest creatures on the planet! Now through October, Kentucky families can trick or treat with the animal kingdom’s wildest, furriest, and most adorable animals at the Louisville Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo event.
This Halloween, take a walk on the wild side... literally.
At the Louisville Zoo's annual "Boo at the Zoo" event, this fan-favorite attraction transforms into an epic, wild, and wildly fun trick-or-treat trail for kids and families.
A Louisville tradition for over 40 years, Boo at the Zoo, presented by Meijer, transforms the world-famous attraction into a living storybook, complete with everyone's favorite characters brought to life, fun music, and a safe place for trick-or-treating for kids 11 and under.
Tin addition to trick-or-treating and zoo entry, tickets to Boo at the Zoo include some fun extras: The Spooktacular Carousel, the "Not-So-Itsy-Bitsy" Spider House, and The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow experience.
Boo at the Zoo is rain or shine, no refunds or exchanges. To help manage attendance, all tickets must be purchased in advance on the Louisville Zoo website. Parking is easy and convenient in the Zoo’s lot and free for party guests, too.
While all of the extras at this event are fun, there's something so delightful about experiencing the Louisville Zoo in costume that makes the whole experience extra memorable.
Did you know you could trick or treat at the Louisville Zoo? What a fun way to celebrate Halloween in Kentucky! The 2022 Boo at the Zoo Halloween event at the Louisville Zoo runs select dates Oct. 1-30.
