The town of Lebanon is known as the heart of Kentucky and it has quite a bit to offer both locals and visitors.
The Fagan Branch Reservoir is a beautiful body of water in Marion County that allows nature lovers to get out and explore. Surrounding the lake is a path known as the Cecil L. Gorley Naturalist Trail and it is 3 miles of outdoor fun.
The Gorley Trail is more challenging than you may think, but all levels can enjoy this trek around the reservoir.
In fact, if you do the entire loop, you'll cross 47 bridges. These bridges lead you through the woods, up and down hills, and to more natural beauty with each step.
You'll likely find people fishing both on the banks of the reservoir and out on small fishing boats. There are also several benches on the path if you want to sit and relax.
