Kentucky is one of the best states to drive around and explore. With lush green trees on either side of the road and bucolic farmland straight out of a country dream, we’re very proud of our beautiful state. When you’re taking a road trip in Kentucky, you have to stop for gas and you may feel a rumble in your stomach. If you want something better than the usual gas station burrito, check out B&N Food Market in Kentucky.
Located in the tiny town of Bagdad, B&N Food Market is a wonderful place to fill up on gas and food and truly have a tasty meal in an old-fashioned building and have a hefty helping of friendliness and Kentucky hospitality to go with it.
When you step inside, you’ll be treated to a slice of down-home classic Americana with a delicious selection of sandwiches and smoked meats that will make your mouth water.
B&N calls itself the “Home of the Newt Burger”. While it’s not made out of actual newts, it is a scrumptious burger that is always fresh off the grill and locals keep coming back for it again and again.
Locals and visitors swear by the slowly smoked brisket. With a 4.8-star rating on Google Maps, the reviews repeat that this place has the best brisket to be found anywhere.
The ribs are simply mouthwatering and there are several sides to go with each meal. This place has scrumptious pulled pork and makes some amazing fish filets. Everything here will leave you quite satisfied.
You can’t just come into a place like this, fill up on mind-blowing food, and then leave without having a delectable slice of pie! There’s also ice cream, fudge, and several other sweet treats. Can’t eat it just yet? Get it to go!
While there is ample seating available inside, on a lovely sunny day it’s a treat to sit on the covered picnic benches outside and take in the lovely Kentucky summer sunshine.
