First off, all of the original rules are still in place and apply this summer.
Floats are required (always have been), but you'll have to bring them already blown up or have a way to blow them up on your own, as they will not have pumps available. You can bring your own chairs, food, drinks, etc., but there is no gathering around cars. You'll have to go back and forth if you leave anything there.
Even with the new guidelines, there is still plenty of opportunity to have a wonderful time on the water.
Arrive with everything you need for the day, including patience and a good attitude. Know what you need to know going in and everyone will have a great time.
If you're getting antsy still hanging out at home, grab the biggest float you can find and plan a visit to the quarry.
Per current regulations, they must operate at 33% capacity, but please do not call and ask if they are full. Simply follow along with them on Facebook, linked below, and they will update there if they cannot allow anyone else in for that day.
A little different? Yes. Still a fun and relaxing way to spend a summer day? Absolutely!
