Going out of the country may be out of the question, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have an international adventure – all it takes is a visit to Gasthaus German Restaurant. In the more than two decades it’s been open, the ethnic eatery has garnered a reputation for its authentically delicious fare, which means you can get a taste of Germany right here in Kentucky – sans passport. Take a look:
A shopping center is probably the last place you’d expect to find an amazing ethnic eatery, but that’s exactly where you’ll find Gasthaus German Restaurant. More specifically, it’s located in Louisville's Brownsboro Road Shopping Center.
A huge hit practically from day one, Gasthaus consistently receives rave reviews from its patrons, who often refer to the food as the best German food they’ve ever had.
The quality and tastiness of the food isn’t all diners rave about, though. There’s also the portion size, which according to many, are big enough for sharing, especially if you're trying to save room for dessert.
Gasthaus German Restaurant’s normal operating hours are Tuesday – Saturday, from 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. In response to quarantine guidelines, the eatery is currently offering curbside take-out Thursday – Saturday, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. For more information, call (502) 899-7177.
