As a kid (or maybe still as an adult), it was basically the best day ever when you got to have spaghetti and ice cream on the same day. These two childhood favorites are loved by almost everyone, but what happens when you quite literally put them together? If you’ve ever been to Germany, then maybe you already know of this unique concoction called Spaghettieis. If not, you can now find spaghetti ice cream in Kentucky at a charming little coffee shop and cafe in Covington. Eishaus is a walk-up window that offers delicious drinks and food, including spaghetti ice cream that’s not what you think.
You'll find Eishaus, a charming coffee shop and cafe, in the heart of Covington in Northern Kentucky.
This unique spot opened over the summer and has already become a favorite destination that draws a crowd from all over the region. What's so special about this cafe? It's truly one-of-a-kind.
Eishaus gets its name from the German word for ice/ice cream - eis.
Spaghettieis is a popular dessert in Germany and the owners of Eishaus grew up enjoying it while visiting family. They wanted to bring this unique treat to Covington and it turns out that it fits right in with the growing food scene in this eclectic city.

The Spaghetti Frikadelle, shown above, is eis topped with strawberry sauce, white chocolate shavings, and two brownie meatballs.
And given its location in the Greater Cincinnati area, they had to do a 3-way, Cincinnati-style chili version. The "chili" is actually chocolate sauce mixed with Rice Crispies and the "cheese" is yellow chocolate shavings.
They serve up all of your favorite hot and cold drinks and if the weather is decent, you can enjoy your drinks and food at a table out in front of the window.
The menu often includes freshly made pastries, and again there are Vegan choices to satisfy anyone's cravings.
