There are certain experiences in Kentucky that conjure up all sorts of nostalgia and remind us of an era gone by. The Sauerbeck Family Drive-In opened in late summer of 2018 and is now open again for the drive-in movie season. Family-owned and perfectly located in Oldham County, not far from Louisville, this is a great place for all ages to experience this timeless outing.

The drive-in is one of the newest in the country and one of only a few in Kentucky. They have a state of the art, 4k digital projection, a GIANT 98-foot diagonal screen, and the sound is broadcasted right through your FM radio. You're able to enjoy the movies from the inside of your car, or bring along a blanket and chairs and relax in front of it.

The movie schedule is announced each Monday and you can expect to see all of the current blockbusters. For one price, you get to view two movies, which begin at 8:30 p.m. (Gates open at various times, based on the day.)

The drive-in is very family-friendly, but you'll want to check out which movies are playing each night. Tickets can be purchased online ahead of time, or at the gate if it is not sold out.
