Spending the night in a canopy of trees with nothing but fresh air surrounding you sounds downright idyllic right about now. There are actually several spots throughout the Bluegrass State where you can book a stay in a treehouse, but The Canopy Crew has developed and now opened their most unique destination to date. Dome Town is a series of geodesic domes in Red River Gorge that are suspended in the air and surrounded by trees and a system of bridges, stairs, and other one-of-a-kind features. You can spend the night in your own dome treehouse in Kentucky and you may never look at camping the same way again.
Dome Town has been in the works for a while and is now ready for you to come spend the night.
A series of geodesic domes make up three overnight destinations, as well as another dome that houses bathrooms. All of these are suspended in the trees and connected by bridges and stairways that seamlessly blend in with the landscape.
Each of the three sleeping domes sleeps two and offers a queen-sized bed and a few other surprising amenities.
You'll also have access to the Water Dome, which houses two full baths and a communal hangout space with a utilitarian sink area for dishwashing and water fill up.

As amazing as the indoor spaces are within the domes, it's what you'll find outside that is truly unique.
The giant canopy lounge net is sure to be a favorite spot within Dome Town, as you can feel as if you're floating amongst the trees. Imagine relaxing here with a book as the breeze makes its way through the leaves.
You can learn more about all three domes and see more photos through the Red River Gorgeous website. If you want to check them out, here's more information on the Puma Dome, Cloud Dome, and the Turtle Dome.
Nighttime in Dome Town is just as magical, as lights illuminate the walkways.
Or if you prefer, just stay put in Dome Town and hang out in your very own dome treehouse in Kentucky, because you won't find another place quite like it in the area.
