The age old question, “Where do the locals eat?” gets asked quite a bit throughout Kentucky. With so many locally-owned restaurants and legendary hidden gems, everyone wants to know where to get the best food and atmosphere and no one knows better than the locals. Perhaps that’s why this laid-back, friendly restaurant calls itself Locals’ Craft Food & Drink. This Lexington eatery serves crave-worthy food that will fill up your belly and soul with its neighborhood feel.
Kentucky loves supporting local businesses and those places that share a love and pride for all things Kentucky.
Two years ago, Locals' Craft Food & Drink opened in Lexington to provide a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike, as well as an innovative menu with crave worthy food and locally-sourced ingredients. This laid-back neighborhood hangout is a great spot to gather with a group of friends and relax.
The food offerings at Locals' are superb and sure to fill your belly.
Their brunch menu is filled with classics like bacon and eggs, but also serves creations like the Locals' Benedict - a French-toasted brioche bun, smoked pork butt, poached eggs and white cheddar mornay. It's the perfect way to start your day.
Their "One Handers" are smaller burgers and sandwiches that can be eaten - you guessed it - with one hand. They actually offer quite a few shareable options and we think their menu is best experienced with a group of people and everyone shares a variety of items. The Fried White Fish is another favorite, pictured above, as well as their loaded fries.
Locals' does have both food and drink in its name, so you'd expect to find an impressive offering of drinks.
They deliver with plenty of options of craft beer, cocktails, fine bourbon, and wine. The food and drink lend themselves perfectly to the neighborhood feel.
Locals' set out to be a local favorite and they are well on their way to achieving this goal.
If you live in Lexington, nearby, or are traveling through, give this gathering spot a try and see if you leave with a full belly and a satisfied soul.
Locals’ is the kind of place Kentucky loves – locally sourced, homemade food and a welcoming atmosphere. Have you eaten at Locals’? What did you think? Share with us!
