I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Without a doubt, Red River Gorge is the ultimate Kentucky adventure. So when visiting this bucket-list-worthy destination, we think it’s only appropriate that your accommodations are bucket-list-worthy, too. And staying in a geodesic dome in the middle of Red River Gorge fits the bill. The newest addition to the Red River Gorgeous glampsite, this cloud dome has everything you need to take your Gorge experience to the next level!
Nestled in the heart of Red River Gorge, there is a glampsite that's reminiscent of the Ewok Village on Endor.
Known as "Dome Town," the domes are connected by suspension bridges that weave through the canopy. In total there are three sleeping domes, a giant canopy lounge net, and one communal water dome, where there are two full baths and one wash station.
Sleeping in the domes really gives you a sense of being in the treetops, with vistas on all sides. You'll be quite comfortable in this queen-sized bed, and we dare say you might have the most peaceful sleep of your life!
