I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
There’s nothing like a night at a good, old-fashioned drive-in movie theatre. The windows down, popcorn in hand, classic flick playing on the big screen, a sky full of stars… talk about a quintessential summer experience. And just outside of Louisville in lovely LaGrange, Kentucky, Sauerbeck Family Drive-In is a charming drive-in theatre that’s sure to take you back to the good old days.
Located in Oldham County, about a half-hour outside Louisville, Sauerbeck Family Drive-In is a little piece of nostalgia that fits right in here in Kentucky.
With a mission to "bring the big screen back outdoors," Sauerbeck Drive-In is a delightful place to go for a night of fun and flicks beneath the stars.
This epic theatre has room for 400 cars, so there's plenty of space for folks to come and spread out! Admission for new releases is $11 for adults and $6 for kids 3-12, with special "Retro Night" pricing of $15/carload on select films.
And unlike some drive-in theaters, credit cards are accepted here. New technology, classic concept!
Arrive early to snag a primo spot, and be sure to bring blankets and chairs if you want to enjoy the movie outside your vehicle. Bug spray and flashlights are recommended, too.
Outside food is allowed, but alcohol is not permitted. Not to worry, however: the concession stand has you covered with a plethora of drinks, including, of course Ale-8-One...
