I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Located north of Lexington, Cynthiana is a small town that’s known for a few distinct things: Post It notes (which are made in town) and “The Walking Dead.” The creator and artist of the comic books and show hail from Cynthiana, the small town in Kentucky that inspired them to include it in the storyline. Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on the popular show, has delved into the world of dining with Nic & Norman’s, a restaurant he co-owns with special effect makeup artist and producer Greg Nicotero. One of the restaurant’s locations is right here in Lexington, and believe us when we tell you this celebrity-owned restaurant in Kentucky is one of the best places to dine in the state.
You know how a great meal can bring folks together? Movies and TV shows do this, too.
Norman Reedus and Greg Nicotero know this well. Known for their work on AMC's "The Walking Dead," the duo decided to put their passion for food and art into Nic & Norman's. The first location opened in 2016 in the heart of "The Walking Dead" town of Senoia, Georgia.
Guess what? The duo has plans to open a Louisville restaurant, too!

Step inside Nic & Norman's Lexington and you'll find yourself in a cozy pub with brick walls and framed photos and stills of the restaurant's celebrity proprietors.
The starters and sides at Nic & Norman's are anything but supporting actors; choose from pickle fries, brisket nachos, crispy Brussels sprouts, and sticky rib tips.
Dessert? Absolutely. What would any self-respecting Southern restaurant be without a delicious dessert menu? Especially peach cobbler that's served in a mini mason jar. Yum!
You might be tempted to order several dishes to share... or not. No judgement! Nic & Norman's is all about creating lasting memories 'round the dining table... a dining table topped with tons of delicious food, of course!
Have you dined at this celebrity-owned restaurant in Kentucky before? Nic & Norman’s is one of those amazing restaurants that certainly lives up to the hype.
