I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Kentucky is home to some of the most incredible small towns in the country, each offering their own unique vibes and fun experiences. And some small towns, as you’ll soon see, are even hiding some big — and we’re talking *BIG* — secrets. Curious to learn more? Read on!
This is Cave City, Kentucky. It's a sleepy little town of just over 2,500 residents, located in south-central Kentucky.
But superlative, subterranean worlds aren't the only trick up this town's sleeve. This lovely little locale is hiding a secret... a big, prehistoric-sized secret!
Dinosaur World features hundreds of life-sized dinosaurs, interactive exhibits, and even a dino-themed playground, all in the beautiful and wild landscape of southern Kentucky.
There's nowhere else quite like Dinosaur World Kentucky. Open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (with the exception of Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day), this is an amazing day trip destination in the Bluegrass State.
Have you visited Cave City, Kentucky recently? We’re assuming you knew about Mammoth Cave, but did you know about Cave City’s prehistoric-sized secret? Visit the Dinosaur World website to learn more and plan your trip to this hidden gem in Kentucky.
While you’re in Cave City, we highly recommend staying at Wigwam Village No. 2, one of the state’s most historic, unique, and all-around delightful accommodations!
