When you describe the natural beauty of Kentucky to those who have not been here, many are surprised. They know of the rolling hills of horse country, but visitors are often pleasantly surprised with our mountain views and impressive rock formations, waterfalls, and other natural features. One of the most surprising areas is eastern Kentucky and the scenery around Pine Mountain. Kingdom Come State Park is a great spot to experience this beauty and especially from its canopy walkway in Kentucky. As one of many overlooks, you will walk high above the trees and witness jaw-dropping views of our beautiful Bluegrass State.
Kingdom Come State Park is named after the Civil War novel, "The Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come," by Kentucky author John Fox Jr., and continues to be an inspirational area today.
The majesty and natural beauty of this park is enough to take your breath away and it really deserves a spot on every Kentucky bucket list. And one of the best things about it is its accessibility.
There are actually eight overlooks within the park, each one offering stunning views.
You should stop by to see every view, but the vistas from the Bullock Overlook are magnificent. It's a canopy walkway in Kentucky that's worth a visit from anywhere in the state.
