Our larger cities offer some tasty, local places, and our small towns are also full of smoky brisket and all the homemade sides to go along with it. Some of these eateries started right here in Kentucky and others have ended up here from just across the state border. Such is the case with Edley’s Bar-B-Que, which originated in Nashville. There are only 3 locations in Nashville and we are lucky enough to have some of this delicious BBQ in Kentucky. Edley’s Bar-B-Que in Lexington is a small business with big flavor and they also serve some incredible bourbon iced tea that you have to try.

Even though it started in Nashville, this family-owned business opened up a restaurant a little over two years ago in Lexington. It is located in the charming Summit at Fritz Farm and fits right into the Bluegrass State.
As a fast, casual restaurant, Edley's has all the homecooked food you'd want, but in a laid back environment.

It offers indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of TVs to catch the game, and a family-friendly atmosphere. And of course they also offer up some of the best BBQ and drinks in the city.
When it comes to BBQ in Kentucky, the brisket at Edley's is some of the best.

This massive platter comes with your choice of three meats and 4 pint sides. You also get pickles, cornbread, and sauces. Keep in mind that because the restaurant only smokes what they think they'll need for the day (it's always fresh!), they can run out of popular items by the end of the night.
If your mouth is already watering, keep in mind that the cocktail menu at Edley's is as enticing as the BBQ.

When in Kentucky, you almost have to go with their popular Bourbon Tea. Bourbon, citrus, mint, pineapple, tea, and lemonade are all combined to make a refreshing drink. There's no better way to wash down the flavorful BBQ.
