There aren’t many places out there that continue to do things the same way they did way back in the 1840’s. Actually, there aren’t many business that have been running that long to even make that claim. But there is a farm in western Kentucky that has not only been running since 1840, but the same family continues to work it and produce unbelievable foods. Father’s Country Hams specializes in all things bacon (and ham!) and this historic farm is a great place to visit to stock up on your mouthwatering favorites.
Welcome to the Gatton Family Farm where they've been producing the best cured meats "the old country way" since 1840.
The farm is located in Bremen in the western part of Kentucky and is famous for its country hams, sausage and, of course, its bacon. While the farm has adapted to changing times over the years, they continue to cure their meats as if it's an art form, which happens to produce the most incredible tasting bacon, ham, and sausage around.

You can stop by the farm Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to noon to pick up your own selection of packages and individual items. But don't worry if you don't live nearby! You can order all of their products through their website, linked below, and they'll find their way to your doorstep.
All of their country bacons are dry cured with salt, sugar, brown sugar and smoked with real Hickory wood and sawdust. The bacon is cured dried for 36-48 hours and smoked for 96 hours before slicing. The process requires much patience, but the end product is so worth the effort and attention to detail.
You can choose from a variety of flavors and packages of bacon. Actually, they have 40 bacon items to choose from that you can have delivered to your house!
Bacon flavors include Hickory smoked, pepper, cajun, bourbon, and maple. And since they specialize in all things pork, you should really go ahead and get some sausage and their award-winning country ham, as well.
