Kentucky is a great state to experience the outdoors, both for relaxing and for getting your adrenaline pumping. Of course, not everyone in our state is an expert hiker, but we have so many trails to choose from that anyone who wants to get some fresh air can find the ideal spot. One place many head to is Red River Gorge and the Auxier Ridge Trail. Although rated moderately difficult, this path follows a ridge line that will keep your blood pumping, and this heart-stopping hike in Kentucky really is one that everyone should experience.
Located within the Daniel Boone National Forest and Red River Gorge, the Auxier Ridge Trail is one of the most beautiful places in our state. If you take the trail out and back, it totals about four miles, but as you can see from the map below, you can choose to connect it with a number of other trails to create your own adventure.
