When Agave & Rye opened in Covington, it was up to the task of being unique, while serving up some of the best tacos and drinks in the state. This Mexican restaurant in Kentucky became a fast favorite and now also has a location in Lexington. Agave & Rye has been open for a little while now in Covington and they recently added a Lexington location to the mix.

The interior of the restaurants get as much attention as the food and drink, and it's easy to see why.
Custom made artwork adorns the walls, giving the dining room a unique atmosphere. The staff is friendly and welcoming and you'll surely remember your first time dining at Agave & Rye, as well as all of the times that will definitely follow.
Enjoy an "OG Margarita" or other flavors either on the rocks or frozen. They also offer many other specialty cocktails, tequila, bourbon, beer, and wine. It's all freshly prepared with real ingredients, so your meal will be off to a delicious start.
After you order a drink, be sure to order some chips and queso, salsa, and guacamole.
While the tacos are exceptional here, the sides are just as tasty. Be sure to try the Elote, the Guaca Fries, and even the Brussels Sprouts which are downright incredible.
And then you can get to the taco section of the menu! Choose from many double-shelled options or tacos made on a corn tortilla.
Most of the tacos come piled between two shells - a crunchy corn shell and a flour tortilla. They all have unique names and combinations of ingredients that will leave your mouth watering. Many more unique options like fried chicken, mac & cheese, and even kangaroo are delicious, but they do have more traditional tacos if that's what you like.
It is difficult to choose from the variety of options on the menu, but that just means you'll need to visit more than once.
