I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Folks from Louisville know Waterfront Park as *the* place to go for year-round fun — especially in the height of summertime splendor. Waterfront Park in Louisville, Kentucky, is both a non-profit organization and a public park. Bordering the Ohio River, it's not only a day trip destination, but the front door to the city -- and a welcoming front door, at that.
Billed as "the waterfront for everyone," Waterfront Park is a vibrant and verdant 85-acre oasis that welcomes over 2.2 million visitors each year. In its former life, this space was a wasteland of scrap yards and derelict buildings. But you'd never know it now.
Today, the park is a community hub, a place for concerts and festivals, including the incredibly popular Fourth of July at Waterfront Park and Forecastle Festival.
Waterfront Park also offers plenty of space to take a walk or let the kids run around, ride your bike (or rent a motorized scooter!), and do group fitness classes like yoga.
Have you been to Waterfront Park in Louisville before? There really is no other place quite like it! For more lovely waterfront spots in Louisville, check out this beguiling botanical garden and park.
