You could spend a lifetime trying to see all of Kentucky’s natural beauty and still not succeed. Even those with the most adventurous spirits couldn’t access every inch of what our beautiful state has to offer. Mammoth Cave is a well-known natural wonder in Kentucky that is visited by people from all over the world.
Many are surprised to learn that the longest known cave system is in the Bluegrass State, but we just count it as another feature to love about Kentucky. It is quite remarkable and allows for many underground adventures, as well as a few in the sunlight.
After you've discovered the cave system, be sure to check out the many hiking trails throughout the park.

This .8-mile hike is very easy, flat, and completely handicapped accessible.
Visitors of all ages can experience this trail and it is lovely all year long. In the heat of summer, the canopy provides a cool retreat for a leisurely walk in the woods.
The landscape along the trail includes thick forest, rolling hills, rock formations, and more.
