I am somewhat a cliche'. I grew up running around barefoot on a farm in Kentucky.
I love writing, art, sunshine, all animals and my incredibly patient husband, who tolerates my "crazy animal lady" side.
We have some of the most beautiful lakes and rivers in the United States, surrounded by woodlands. However, when it comes to blue water in Kentucky, Dale Hollow Lake has quite the renowned. It is one of the beautiful spots in Mother Nature that is shared by both Kentucky and Tennessee, but we are going to focus on the Kentucky side.
Dale Hollow Lake State Resort is located at 5970 State Park Road in Burkesville.
They have lodges, offering restaurants, luxury rooms, and beautiful waterfront view. Several of the lodges also have a swimming pool for those that don’t want to actually swim in the lake, or want a "safer" environment for small children.
For those that prefer a quieter, more private place to rest, the cabin rentals are perfect. There are several different places you can check out and into, some offering an amazing waterfront view. Others are more secluded in the forest with a short walk to Dale Hollow Lake. They all have comfortable lodgings and a serene place to forget about the busy world for a while.
If you like even more rustic camping, you won’t be disappointed.
Dale Hollow Lake has some perfect primitive campsites available, along with RV sites. Some people prefer to just locate their own serene spot, and those individuals will have endless acres to investigate and choose from. The forest and shores are truly breathtaking and relaxing.
Not everyone owns a boat, but most people can rent one. There are several spot you can for boat rentals dependant on what you want. Some people just want a paddle boat, like a canoe or kayak. Others appreciate the comforts of a pontoon or a house boat. You will find somewhere that meets all your needs and you can get out and enjoy Dale Hollow Lake for hours

Summer is near an end, but as the leaves start to change, a lake trip can still be great. Visiting Dale Hollow Lake and its beautiful blue water in Kentucky offers serenity most of the year. Take some time and just get lost in nature and the beautiful pool of blue. You can also check out some other gorgeous state parks to enjoy at your convenience. A getaway, even for a day, can be completely refreshing!
