Hiding out in the southern half, this tiny village in Kansas is home to a small population, but a lot of charm.
To get the carousel running for you and the kids, it has to be a nice day out, and the Griffins also need to be in town. If both of those are true, you can honk your horn when you pull up, and if available, they'll come out and start it for you at no charge.
Also next to this beautiful carousel is the 1913 Sears Catalog house. Imagine buying your home from a magazine listing! Though it came with a few options to customize, you saw the house right in the ad and ordered it to be built. If you're lucky, you can also tour the home on your visit.
They have a post office, a few blocks of housing, and a cute little church that all deserve a good visit every now and then. It's just so peaceful and quiet here!
