Fancy yourself a chef? There’s an exciting cooking competition in Kansas coming up pretty soon that looks to be pretty fun for anyone interested in the sort of self-sufficient lifestyle that we Sunflower State residents are so fond of. The first-ever Wild Foods Cook-Off in Lawrence, KS is scheduled for Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the Baker University Wetlands Discovery Center. This is such a great event that celebrates all things wild in Kansas, and best of all, it’s free to both enter and taste-test the entries. There will also be informative workshops available if you’re interested in learning more about the Baker University Wetlands or the environment here.
