Shopping local is great any time you need to buy food, home decor, or gifts for others. Why not shop for all three at this Kansas Market? There’s more here than meets the eye, and you never know when there are going to be new items in stock.
Welcome to Kansas Originals, a market stop in Wilson, Kansas that not only is owned by Kansans, but sells goods made by Kansans, often by hand.
Firstly, this little market is a great place to have a bite to eat while you're out on the road. Their burritos are very popular, but we've always had a sweet tooth, so we recommend any of the treats they have available. These danishes and homemade pie look almost too good to eat. Almost.
After getting a bite to eat, browsing their wares is the next item on your to-do list. Whether they're hosting a raffle, selling hand made wooden vehicles, or parting with a beautiful hand made quilt, you're certainly going to find things to catch your eye.
Some of their goods are of the grocery variety, like locally harvested honey, homemade candy, and jellies. They're often arranged in baskets, which make great gifts to your friends while supporting Kansas small businesses.
If you're lucky, you can even find items made for special events, like these hand painted Czech eggs, which make a great item to remember the giant one Kansas is known for.
