This isn’t a new restaurant or food service, rather a new location that allows Chef’s Crate to operate more hours, serving “vintage” western Kansas cuisine to anyone who wants to come pick them up. This is a restaurant of sorts, but one that leaves the cooking to you. Will you be picking up a sample platter or a week’s plate on your visit?
Welcome to Chef's Crate, a restaurant that lets you be part of the restaurant experience.
Instead of cooking a single meal and serving it to you, you can pick up a whole week's worth of meals at Chef's Crate to take home and enjoy over a week's time at your leisure.
The Chef himself, Tim Pfannenstiel, has a vision of great food being eaten at home with no preservatives and no extra "stuff" involved. Just fresh, local grown foods turned into something delicious and simple.
The meals vary in theme and content, but the need for eating clean like we should is what is most important. Whether that's a roast or pasta is up to you.
He is known as one of the only people in western Kansas who makes fresh bread every day coming from Kansas grown grain turned into Hudson Cream Flour coming out of Stafford County mills.
Even his desserts taste clean and fresh, and if you don't want to commit to a week's worth of meals, you can also order a sample tray to get an idea of the flavors he's working with.
