One of my biggest pet peeves is when people say nasty things about Kansas. Do you know what I have noticed? The people making the jokes have never been here before or, if they have, they simply drove through without stopping. The Sunflower State is by far the most underrated state in the country–but it wouldn’t be if people only knew these 13 things:
No matter where you are in Kansas, you are bound to find gorgeous modern and historic structures, including churches, court houses, and even the Kansas State Capitol.
...but did you know that our wheat feeds not only Kansas, but the entire world?

This may come as a surprise to some, but Kansas is home to award-winning breweries, including L.B. Brewing Company (Hays) and Free State Brewing (Lawrence).

You don't have to go to Napa to get a glass of outstanding wine!
In addition to world famous BBQ, Kansans have a knack for making traditional German, Russian, and Swedish cuisine.
