Q39 is a big barbecue spot for many in the Kansas City metro area, and we're lucky enough to have a location in Overland Park. They make amazing barbecue in many forms, and are a must-try at least once.
We've all heard just how good their que is, but have you tasted it yet? There's a big reason it's named some of the best in the country!

Woodyard is a down home style spot that we honestly can't get enough of. I know I stop by whenever I'm in the area for a wood smoked meal most people can't pass by.

This spot's so delicious they sell out of meat all the time! If you're lucky enough to get there while your favorite type of barbecue is still in supply, don't leave without it.
Rosedale has been serving Kansas and the surrounding area since 1934, which is nearing on 100 years of barbecue! They've been here for so long because of how good they are, we promise.
This Bates location is conveniently located in Shawnee, which makes it perfect for those road trips in the area we've been saving on our bucket lists.
Biemers is a great barbecue spot, and we can't get enough of their sides, brisket, and hot links. If you're hungry in the area, this is an excellent spot to stop.
It's been on our list for years, and we love to come back every now and then when we're in the Ottawa area. Ribs, anyone?

This tiny airport happens to also be home to big flavors, and a healthy amount of noise as small planes sometimes fly in for lunch. If you love planes and barbecue, then this is the perfect spot for you to try out sometime.
In a small town named Williamsburg, this little spot makes some of the best barbecue Kansas has to offer. We recommend trying out a whole rack of ribs, with or without a friend to help you handle it all. It's that good!

Also serving up great barbecue is Roy's, where they've been serving since 1982. They're surely delicious, and Kansas seems to wholeheartedly agree with continued business.
When you've been wanting to mark all those barbecue spots off of your bucket list, make sure not to pass by Boone's. It looks a little out of place here, but we assure you the flavors are fantastic.
In Salina, good barbecue comes from Hickory Hut, where you're a plate away from happy and no longer hungry. Make sure you don't leave them off of your list.

Buck's doesn't look like a normal restaurant from the outside, but that's quite alright. However, not only is the barbecue delicious, but they are also a RV park and cabin rental!
We've talked about All Slabbed Up before, and we'll keep doing it as long as they're still in business. It's good food served by good Kansans, and we know it belongs on any BBQ bucket list for our state.
This one's a new addition to our lists in 2020, but still worth a shot. All barbecue has the potential to be your favorite barbecue, all according to your specific tastes.
Plank's, a little spot in Garden City, is always a good place to try out. When you go west, it's a great place to stop in the area.
Billy Sims is a name many of us know, and their barbecue is plenty delicious as well. To become a chain, you know it has to be tasty.

Also a recent addition to our website and lists, JC's is a great spot to run by if you haven't tried them out yet. Their brisket and beans are plenty tasty for us!
Last but not least, we have Blind Box, and you don't need eyes to experience how tasty their selection is. Old school barbecue with a new twist we can't pass up.
