When is the last time you’ve tried something new or visited a new Vietnamese restaurant in Kansas? We think Vietnamese restaurants don’t get enough love in Kansas, but if you give the right food a try, you may find you have a new favorite. We still love our cafes, but it never hurts to reach out to new cuisines and expand our palates a bit. You might just be surprised!

Welcome to Thao's Bistro, one of my favorite restaurants in the Wichita area, and a great place to try out some Vietnamese food.

Vietnamese food is something everyone should try, even if they're normally picky eaters. The flavors are refreshing and fill you up without feeling heavy. If you're new, there's no shame in asking what you should start with.

One item you may want to check out on their specials list is the whole roasted catfish, crispy and cooked to perfection. It's definitely a meal that should be shared, however, so don't be afraid to bring your friends!

Whether you're new to Vietnamese cuisine or just wanting to add another to your list, you'll want to stop by Thao's Bistro. I'd say they're definitely in the top 10 in the whole state.

You can also call in an order to be picked up if you are having a busy day, but dining in their quiet restaurant is something you should try at least once.

Thao's Bistro is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
