In the Sunflower State, many of our motifs revolve around sunflowers.Of course, it helps that the sunflower is as beautiful as it is, or we might not love it so much. However, it’s here to stay, and we can’t get enough of it. At the end of every summer, this sunflower festival is the best way to kick off fall with a beautiful celebration. Mark this down on your calendars!
Welcome to Kansas Maze, one of the top places to visit every late summer and fall for everything we love to do all in one place. At the end of summer every year, they throw a Sunflower Festival, with a field full of golden flower heads perfect for family photos and soaking in the sun.
Starting in 1999, Kansas Maze has hosted hundreds of thousands of people with their unique corn maze designs, pumpkin patch, playland, and our favorite, the Sunflower Festival.
Tickets to this event are $7 for any age above 4, including admission, access to the playland, and one sunflower picked from the field. You can also buy extra sunflowers to take home at the rate of $3 apiece and 6 for $12, going on up depending on quantity.
The playland area includes these huge jumping pillows, a hay bale castle, tunnel slide, sand box, giant puzzle, swivel swing, rope maze, pumpkin games, and more.
If you fall in love with Kansas Maze after you leave, don't fret! They open up for the Fall season shortly after the festival, so you can come back and get the full pumpkin patch and corn maze experience soon enough.
This year's festival is running from Aug 24 - Sept 14, 2019. Weekday hours from Wednesday to Friday are 5 to 8 p.m., and Weekends are 2 to 8 p.m. for both Saturday and Sunday. They also advise that hours and dates are subject to weather conditions, so make sure to keep an eye to the sky or call if unsure.
For more information, you can check out their website or their Facebook page. To check if they’re closed for weather, they advise you call (620)543-3073.
Address: 13209 E 82nd Avenue, Buhler, KS 67522
