I have said it before and I will say it again: the Sunflower State is home to the most beautiful and historic churches in the country! This one church is particular, however, may just take the cake for being the most unique because of both its heritage and jaw-dropping interior. The church I am talking about is St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Kansas City:

What makes this one church in particular stand out from all the others? Originally established in 1900 by Croatian immigrants, St. John the Baptist has stood by its native heritage and celebrates it via mass and special events. Since its opening over 116 years ago, every priest has even been able to speak Croatian!

What else makes this parish so unique? Well, for starters:

Inside the bell tower lies the original bell, which is inscribed with (in Croatian) "The Living I Summon, the Dead I Mourn, the Thunder I Disperse."
