Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). There’s tons to do in the big cities in Kansas. A visit to Kansas City or Wichita is so much fun – it feels like there’s a never-ending array of attractions. However, we have plenty of small towns in the Sunflower State that are also worthy of an adventure! I love going to small towns. They’re great spots to get a good feel for what a state is like, and you can learn so much about a state’s culture and people by visiting a sparsely-populated area. One of our favorite small towns in Kansas is Ellis. This little city in the western part of the state has a population of right around 2,000, but there’s plenty to do. Check out a few of our favorite things to do in Ellis, KS:
