It’s not every day that you get the chance to spend the night in an old Kansas schoolhouse. Well, you’re in luck! This one-room school Airbnb is the perfect blend of historic and modern, and a great getaway for people who love old Kansas buildings without sleeping on antiques.
When you approach this idyllic location in Paola, you are immediately brought back to a time where all the kids learned together in one room.
This school is over 100 years old, and almost 130 at the time of writing this. Now, after some renovation inside, it keeps its charming exterior but gains lots of cozy furniture inside. From the outside, you'd never guess what it contains!
Inside, you'll find lots of cozy nooks and crannies, and two lofts that each have a queen sized bed. The main floor holds a fold-out couch and room for any air mattresses if you visit but can't handle the ladder.
They're always extra clean, and even though it's a historic spot, it might be just the calm quiet you've been needing. I know I'd love it here! It's every bit as incredible as it appears to be.
Nearby the Airbnb is the Louisburg Cider Mill, wineries and wine tours, and plenty of great thrifting options in local towns like Paola. What do you think of this great getaway?
