Everyone In Kansas Must Visit This Epic Natural Spring As Soon As Possible
Summer is a few short months away and with that comes BBQs, late night fire pits and finding creative ways to beat the unbearable heat and humidity. Do you want to know my favorite way to stay cool? Swimming holes. If you are looking for the perfect natural spring to soak in, check out Lake Scott State Park in Scott City.
The stunning State Park offers a 100-acre spring-fed lake, perfect for swimming, water sports, boating and canoeing. In addition to the lake itself, visitors can enjoy hiking, biking, sightseeing, wildlife sightings and so much more.
After cooling off in the spring-fed lake, make plans to visit the incredible El Cuartelejo (the remains of the northernmost pueblo Indians), Battle Canyon (the sight of the last Kansas Native American battle), and historic Steele home (the home of the first Fort Scott settlers).
