Kansas has a bum rap as a boring state without much culture. Of course, if you’ve spent any time here, you know that’s patently false. For example, there’s no shortage of museums or beautiful churches in Kansas. One of the most stunning is tucked away in the tiny little unincorporated community of St. Benedict. This small town near Seneca only has a population of around 50 people, but it’s home to one of the state’s most magnificent places of worship. Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Benedict is filled with beautiful paintings that make it look like a miniature Sistine Chapel in Kansas.
