There are 28 state parks in Kansas, and each offers up its own special blend of history and scenic views. Pomona State Park was established in 1963, meaning it recently turned 60 years old. This park is located in Osage County, about 35 miles south of Topeka, and it’s got so many fun activities the whole family can enjoy. Let’s take a closer look:

You may know Pomona State Park by its former name: Vassar State Park. The park spans 490 acres along the south shore of Pomona Lake.
