Do you think that if you've tried one burger, you've tried them all? If so, you obviously haven't tried Ty's, which has been serving up food (and long wait times) for nearly 60 years!

No food pictures for Cassoday's, but don't let that stop you from sampling their fare! Word to the wise: if you hate to wait, avoid visiting the first Sunday of each month, when hundreds of motorcyclists stop in for the hearty buffet.


Regulars know to get to the Prairie Nut Hut (which was named one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas Cuisine) early; the small, but popular restaurant seats only 40.

Are you surprised to see another BBQ joint on the list? I didn't think so! I have been told by a good friend from Hutch that the food is good enough to get up and wait in line for every Saturday morning.

Since the Brookville is only open for a few hours at a time on certain days, there's always a mad rush to get this homemade, family-style meal. Fortunately, the Hotel has plenty to look at and shop for, which makes the wait seem less.
