Starting spring, events start popping up all over the place, making your adventures in Kansas a little more exciting. Festivals full of hot air balloons usually fill up the daytime, but what do you do if you’re more of a nighttime person? For a little while, this water lantern festival brings the colors of our sunsets to the water. Come take a look at this amazing event that’s sure to be the brightest light for a night.
Have you ever been to a water lantern festival before? On April 27, 2019, you can head to a special spot in Wichita and participate in this amazing and beautiful event.
Every ticket to this event comes with - Entry into the festival area, one floating lantern, a commemorative drawstring bag, a marker to decorate your lantern, and a wristband.
Seeing all of these lanterns decorated with wishes, memories of loved ones, or just cool designs, really makes this event feel magical. Each one of these lanterns means something to someone, and they're all joining together to light up the night.
For those of you worried about this clogging up our waterways, don't worry. The event staff pick up each and every lantern after the event, and they are made of eco-friendly wood and rice paper, so they wouldn't harm it even if they were lost.
