Kansans are all about their small town communities. We’re full of agriculture, love for food, and close-knit communities filled with friendly faces. Of course, it’s possible that we miss a town here or there that’s simply amazing, but once we find one, we love to share it with the world. This absolutely tiny town has been hiding right under our noses this whole time. You won’t believe what unexpected wonders are right here in small town, Kansas.
The tiny town of Wilmore sits in Comanche County, where it's been since the late 1880s.
It was named after the first merchant to arrive here, a man named Thomas Wilmore. We don't know much about him, but the town has been through a lot since it started. Wilmore had a population of more than 200 back in the 1930s, but today you'll only find that about 50 people live in town.
However, after a little bit of exploring, you'll find that there's plenty of character hiding in this tiny town.
