Maybe you’re living here for business, temporarily, or you just haven’t gotten out much. Either way, I’m here to tell you some of the things you can do instead of the run-of-the-mill touristy type excursions people usually take. Why not take a path less traveled?

When you're looking for nature filled scenery in Wichita, usually this is the first idea people have.

However, this nature center is also in Wichita, and it preserves some of the only virgin grasslands in Kansas. There's plenty of trail to have an adventure!

Though many a touristy traveler wants to stop by the ever-famous Dodge City, there's plenty of other old western towns to see here.

This is one of my favorites, nut just because it's local, but because the local Steampunk culture is so rich here. Why not give it a try?

If you're in Lawrence, maybe you're looking to check out the Internationally renown Spencer Museum. I'm here to tell you there's better choices.

Lawrence Arts is truly a home of innovation and excitement for all ages. It's a wonderful substitute (and probably cheaper).

Though I love this area, there's a lesser known formation not too far off.

Castle Rock is crumbling, and you should visit before it's any smaller! Also, the badlands nearby are wondrous. Take my word for it, or check it out yourself!

Everyone loves a dead president, but there's other important people to see here.

This wonderful lady's museum house, to be exact. With all this sky, who wouldn't want to fly?

It's a preserve, and it has bison roaming the area. It's just as good as other areas, I promise.

Especially the Konza Prairie! We've got some fantastic Kansas photographers who just love the scenery here. Why shouldn't they?
