There’s nothing more beautiful than a spring day in Kansas, right? On days when the weather is nice, we think the best thing to do is get out and explore! We’ve gathered together all the most beautiful (and fun!) places to go this spring, and they’re all great additions to anyone’s Kansas bucket list. Let’s take a look!
1. The Big Well — Greensburg
After a disaster, one of the only things still standing is this amazing well, the largest hand-dug well ever made. Of course, the new facility built here is beautiful and tells the history of a city rebuilding one brick at a time.

2. Bartlett Arboretum — Belle Plaine
This gorgeous garden has been hiding out right under our noses in Belle Plaine. There's plenty of flowers and trees every spring to enjoy, as well as a scenic bridge overlooking water features. What more could you want?

4. The Overland Park Arboretum
This beautiful arboretum is one of my favorite places to pass time, with plenty of statues at every turn to keep you exploring. You'll find that the waterfall surrounded by greenery is the perfect place to be on a spring day.

5. The Insect Zoo — Manhattan
If you're not too bugged out by insects, feel free to visit the Insect Zoo to get a look at their habitats and what they do for the world. There is a live beehive and a few insect (and arachnid) friends you can handle if you're brave enough, as well.

6. Table Mound Trail — Elk City Lake
This hiking trail around Elk City Lake is filled with plenty of scenic views, but a sunset through the trees over the lake is by far something everyone should see. Don't believe me? Take a walk through the foliage and find out for yourself!

7. A Treehouse stay at Timber Creek — Winfield
Have you ever wished there was an adult version of the treehouses you played in as a kid? Well, there is now! This is the only treehouse room in Kansas where you can spend the night, so don't forget it's here! The sounds of spring surrounding you will soothe you to sleep every time.

8. Coronado Heights — Lindsborg
Exploring Coronado Heights doesn't take long, but the story behind it deserves some explaining. This mini castle is great for a picnic, and you'll find plenty of memories here even if you don't find the city of gold.

We know how much of our history and development is thanks to wagons and those that traveled the trail, but we don't have much left to remember them by besides the tracks they left in the ground over the years.
