With all the talk about local pools and YMCA memberships, It’s no wonder that sometimes you just settle for a sprinkler in the backyard. After all, fun in the sun in the ultimate end goal, right? Beat the rising Kansas heat and make your summer epic with this water park hidden in an unsuspecting town right here in the Sunflower state.
Welcome to Long Branch Lagoon in Dodge City, everyone! The town with all the old western themes and the historic reenactments also has a water park hiding amongst its attractions.
They're home to the only boomerang slide for almost 700 miles! They've also got a 700+ foot long lazy river, as well as climbing walls, tube slides, and a wave pool.
There's plenty of play equipment for the littler ones, as well. That includes the 300 gallon dumping bucket, and water cannons to shoot at your friends!
Sometimes they even have a Dive-in movie showing right there at the pool! Nothing would make my night better than enjoying a movie in the water instead of the normal car seats.
