There’s a lot of people in Kansas that we’d classify as odd. Even more of them are just plan weird. However, we’ve got a few small towns that are just filled with unique Kansans that make that town one of the strangest we’ve seen. However, we think this small town in Kansas takes the title for “Strangest Town in the Midwest” by a mile. Of course we don’t mean it’s a bad thing—just a weird thing.

Elk Falls is a wonderful community that's not very populated, but the characters here have big personalities to fill the gaps.

There's all sorts of abandoned and crumbling buildings, a cemetery, and small local businesses you can tour and support. Many of the locals will be plenty friendly, as long as you're friendly back. They're a true testament to Kansas and just how nice we are. That, and how weird we can get.

It used to hold vehicles, but today you'll only find feet and bicycle wheels along this iron bridge. It's definitely a worthwhile stop, if you want to see the falls after which the town was named.
